    Yesterday was a big day. The engine was put together and fired for the first time with out any trouble so that was a big preset for my self

    Thanks for the comments. At the moment I’m only going to finish the engine bay then later this year maybe I’m going to spray the whole rest of the car.

    Nice progress, all seems to going well. I do like the blue rocker cover, very nice.

    Nothing wrong with big batteries

    Exactly what I was thinking. Remember kids, shells don't rust as quick in warm and sunny countries as they do in rain soaked places such as the ones we live in.

    Perhaps a bit OT - when I visited Tunesia back in 1979 (yes I'm that old) there were numerous Peugeot 403's around being used as taxi. I reckon they're still around now, perhaps with a recon engine but otherwise still fine. Same in Portugal, in the early 80's they were running ancient Mercedes-Benz 190's (the round model from the 1950's) as taxi's. Amazing! /OT.

    Luke, very nice car you have there mate - white cars are great to work on. Engine bay looks spotless. Enjoy!
