well a quick update no pics sorry was to busy to find camera and the tea monkey had left me grafting on my own

anyway managed to get the engine out of the gsi today have transfered the alternator and all wiring looms to the new engine just got to change the fly wheel in the morning then it can got back in torque converter is off thank sloth for the info, only disaster was i broke the brake master cylinder resovire but luckily that is one of the parts left on the donor most were stripped when i got it . on the plus side although i have no idea of milage the new engine is alot cleaner than the old one and it has compression and isnt siezed so bonus and it did sound nice a year ago when i bought it

changed the alternator as it was new 2 weeks before it blew and there a pain in the ass to change when the engine is in

well not updated this for a while finished the engine ages since and its now been on the road for about 6 months, running great, but today i had some time on my hands so thought id start the other bigish jobb i had planned for it.

    So started fitting the LPG!!!!!!

I bought the kit about 18 month since off ebay but me being my usual lazy self has just left it sat in the garage, but with the price of fuel 132.9 now when lpg is 71.9 thought it was about time i pulled my fingure out.

The kit is a single poinnt mixer kit so works like a carb, it was orrigionaly on an omega v6, so bar a couple of little changes it should be a simple job.

    Bolted the tank in

ran pippes front to rear and to filler (tank all plumbed in just needs wire connecting)

filler fitted (tidy job considering i didnt have a hole cutter )

    worked out the wiring

now the problem is the idle control valve the omega runs an icv like an xe so its easy to connect it to gas the vectra dosent so i have 2 options
1 make a plate to fit were the icv bolts on the vectra inlet and ruun an xe icv

or enclose the standard icv so i can send gas to it

not sure which will be best but im leaning towards the first option

ordered the new mixer a few days ago so when that turns up i can fit the vaporiser and selonoid and wire it all up omega runs twin throttle bodys so the origional mixxers are no good.
