H reg GSi (Ade Culley's) I think looks really nice

Very OE but has some touches on it that you don't see any more, very 90's/Old Skool!

    Some nice pics there mate

L33 - What Nova is it you've wanted to replicate ?

Im not actually sure, but through the years iv been looking at novas theres been quite a few that stand out and i want. H1GTE being one of them.

I think if i was going to do it i would get a mk1 gte in black. have the red pinstripe, maybe twin headlights, mims in silver, clear rear lights, maybe a small scooby vent on the bonnet. inside will be a standard interior with some 6x9s on the rear shelf and chose a headunit and steering wheel which came from the 90s.

Nice to see theres people thinking similar to me - I know Nova's aren't modern by any means but they all seem to follow each other

GSi kit, Speedlines, LET/XE or a pure standard original Nova

Rarely see anything that's different to those - Joff's Nova is a nice example with his Old Skool ICE and Wolfrace Voodoo's

You say you want a 90s nova. A GSi on speedlines were just as popular back then

If it's 90's nova then you'd want an 13 sr, snowplough front end, k+n filter, Ashley exhaust, mk2 golf GTI bbs 14" xspokes, Koni suspension 16v GTE font brakes, drums on the rear, an alpine tape deck head unit and a pair of alpine 6x9's on the shelf, oh and it has to be red with brown and yellow inside. That's what my first car was in 95, cos there was nae chance I could afford a GTE nevermind a GSI.

I must be the only one that thinks the TSW Blades on that ruined H1GTE look t0ss? Same goes for the spots, cheesy fonts/stickers... Blah.

Stealths, Evo's etc etc have all had their day IMO. Running them now makes it looks like you're too tight to put your hand in your pocket. (IMO)

Edit - There's another GTE I'm thinking of RE the fonts etc, blue with yellow details?

90's isn't old skool man! That was last week.

This thread needs more of my pics in it!

I think the 90's vibe is cool as. Avoid M3 mirrors & you can't go far wrong.
My car was going that way until I pulled it apart. I wanted to colour code the alloys Flame Red, same as the body & put in some subwoofers in a boot install.
I'm not sure I would fit TSW wheels, they are too wide & the offset's suck on all but a few models. Jason Hudson's silver GSi had TSW Stealths though & was a big inspiration to me.

I used to have Raffinos on my H reg 1.2 Diamond - it had a 1.4 sr engine bored to 1480 and was painted in that Rover pearl purple colour, before that it was Nautilis blue. I Also had a white F sr with MK2 panels with TSW stealths - I'll try to find pics and scan.

    Oh Jon Walsh nova ftw
