The tachometer on all Nova's is electric, you need to run a wire from the coil to the tachometer.
I'm not too sure off-hand whereabouts on the coil you connect to.

when i fitted a digi dash to my mk2 nova there was already a tachometer wire there to run the revs on the dash, and my car is a 1.4. you may find that the wire is already there but i am unsure of the colour.

if uve got a mk2 car then u dont have to do shit mate. just plug the clocks in and ur away (the wiring is already there) u only have to run a new wire for the mk1`s
