    Default Irmscher Airbox Suitability

    Alright chaps,

I haven't been on here for about 4 billion years, but i do still have my Nova. Just a question, i have a fully built 1600 8v on 40 Dcoe's now, and have access to an Irmscher airbox.

Anybody know if it would be suitable for that type of application, or is it likely to restrict it somewhat, due to it being designed, and originally used on the 1300 sport engine? OR, am i better off just using trumpets and filters that are already fitted?

To be quite honest i mostly want it coz they are cool .

    Sam

Look nice, but very restrictive. Stick to the trumpets/filters.

I thought as much. Nice idea, but i guess it's best left to the 1.3 engine.

    Thanks alot

It looks cool though and for road use i would rather have that than trumpets, the only reason i havnt put mine on yet is because i need some auxilary venturies that dont have the space for the trumpets to slide in.
