    Its for RON plug, i had the fault on my gsi was just the ron plug changed that and it was fine.

    I assume it has a major lack of power higher up the rev range?

    its not cos the ron plug is only on CAT models right? and e16se isnt CAT

    ron plug is nothing to do with the cat, it advances the timing as the revs get higher.

    im so stupid yea your right i have just been out to my garage and turned it round apparently that can help? i will try it on way to wor tommorow if its no better il order one up cheers guys rep cummin ur way! would my cars fuel consumption be affected by this and would it restrict the power every now and then and bring on thhe managment light?

    most likely need a new one. Will restrict the power as thats what advances the timing when the revs get higher. You will probably notice it feels like its holding back when you boot it.
