RE the wiper I think for ease of installation an Uno one would be best. Can't remember the weight but you will be able to find that pic I sent of one on the scales somewhere.

I had a Toyota Aygo (107 / C1) rear one out the other day which was very light and secures on just one mounting hole. Sadly it quickly sold before I thought to weigh it.
I keep on thinking about rear wiper motors, and the Aygo one is interesting, thanks.

I suppose the main thing to work out will be the angle of the screen. Rear screens tend to be nearer to vertical, whereas front screens are more angled.

I can't picture an Aygo/C1/C1 screen without a bit of Google research, but it will definitely be worth looking at. I'm planning to get a new wiring loom made up soon, so I need to get all the electrical components finalised beforehand.

Good idea, I would worry that the angle of sweep might not be enough though!

Its not like you need to pass an mot, just clear a decent enough field of vision.

There's lots of them on EBAY, would be interesting to find out what they weigh in at.

    Craig.

A mate of mine from Salisbury is looking for some ABS rings to suit his TVR race car (not TVR items!!).

I know you're a bit of a breakers yard expert, would you mind if I send you details of what he's after? What's the best way to contact you? Thanks.

Do you have to fit a wiper to it? I would have thought that Rain-X would be sufficient? I've never had to use the wiper when I've treated my screen. It's just a case of remembering to keep it treated!

Yes, the regs require a working wiper arm/motor.

In practice of course it never gets used for short-distance stuff like a hillclimb, Rain-X is fine.
