    My Nova is still languishing at the A1 Rallysport workshops, I'm now chasing to get it done as I've missed another season of racing.

    In the meantime I'm getting the garage ready to welcome it home, by installing the inspection pit that I bought several years ago. Lots of digging to be done;

    Nice pit... Think i'd want a ramp in the HUGE garage tho..
    All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
    That I really miss when I reminisce

    It's just a standard height garage unfortunately. If I had the headroom then there'd be a 2-post lift in there already (and no pit).

    Looking at the thickness of the concrete base I dont think it would be suitable for a 2 post lift anyway

    A mate of mine installed a 2 post lift in his standard height garage (around 8ft high), on which to lift his Porsche Boxter (don't ask)? He apparently had to dig out two holes to accomodate around a cubic meter of concrete for each post! So Colin has a similar amount of digging to do, depending on how deep he wants is to be, I just hope it doesn't turn into an indoor swimming pool
    I love a good build thread, so heaven knows why I'm here...

    My house is at the top of a big hill so I shouldn't have any water table issues. The pit is about 4 foot deep, so it's one you sit or kneel in, it's not for standing up in.

    More details of what I'm fitting;

    The eaves height of my garage is about 6' 6", with a very shallow pitch on the roof, so there's definitely no chance of getting a lift in there.
