On the other hand, the thread serves as an example to those who think they can get away with an undeclared engine conversion.

Despite what some members may think, we're not a nazi state and whilst yes we could delete this thread and ban the OP, we can't be held responsible for his actions, merely voice our disapproval of it - which I think has clearly been done in this thread, some in slightly less articulate ways than others. Plus, insurance companies may well look on forums, but you can guarantee they'd have far better luck watching ebay for all the "still on logbook as a 1.2" adverts.

I'm closing this thread as no doubt it will descend into petty arguments which we don't want, but I won't be deleting it or handing out bans. Not saying anyone else might though
