Cheers guys for the nice comments, David, although I got 3mm machined off the mating faces the wheels lip it self is extremely close still, and I must have slight play in my rear n/s bearing, as it's touched the wheel lip against my arch on cornering..

But, I'll be getting arches rolled and some more suitable tyres fitted at some point.. No idea how people say they can use stretched tyres, unbelievable difference between these 6.5x15 on 165/50 and the expression 6x15's with less stretch.

Well Scott, pictures don't lie it looks brilliant but I suppose if you had to use this daily then is a whole new thing.

You'll have plenty of room if the arches haven't even been rolled yet! Looking good with the new rims, would look perfect with some SR vinyl.

    Nothing substantial to report..
Did give it it's first half decent clean of the year..

Then back into the garage it goes, popped the cover over it, as for some reason my garage roof drops this odd dirt, like sap! Might be sap in the ply?

Really does Look ace Scott. New plans for the engine will suit this perfectly IMO. + I love the picture of it in the garage with the cover over it. Looks like its hibernating.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, “DAMN, what a ride!!”

Yeah, the garage roof keeps dropping odd dirt on, bit like sap!

Cheers Baz, no unfortunately not, the let turned out to be a duff engine in the end with too many bits missing etc, was going to cost more to re build it then was worth while, I took as a sign to stay small block instead.

Love it Scott, but think i still like the old wheels more....
Lovely big garage you have, lucky there. I'd get the wood on the roof painted. I prob is sap, that stuff can seap out for years.

1.6 8V on twins..... yes.... yes...... yes!
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce
