well the cost of doing mine was:

    180 sandpaper - 30p
    1200 sandpaper - 30p

    anthracite aerosols x2 - 3.50 each so 7 quid
    lacquer aerosol - 3.50

and polish what i already had.

so mine come to 11 pounds and 10 pence, and half a days work.

You primer to cover sanding marks/filler.

It really depends on the condition of the wheels. If they are not corroded and there has been no bubbling of the paint but it has some minor scratches/kerbing and the paint has faded then it can be done withing a couple days, as you would only really need to clean/rub down to make it all smooth, filler the scratches/kerbing then paint.

If, on the other had, you have wheels that have corroded and paint has bubbled up, kerbing/scratches paint peeling this would mean you'd have to strip off all paint and that takes ages, trust me. Took me about 8 hours to strip one wheel of all paint.

With the right tools yes, you can do 4 in a day.

Yes like an acid dip/bead blasting. If I had that 1 day would have been enough. But if it's nitromoorse and a wire attachment expect much more.

Sanding them down on a da is enough. The paint comes of quickly with a bit of 180.
