You can get a similar style one (just as good really) For £137 (iirc) on corsa sport, some dude makes them up on there.Originally Posted by sri dave

jay, after all that work, you bodge the ecu in a plastic bag
Will be hidden soon with scuttle panel cover or i may extend it and put it inside the car.
im just want my car to drive nicely again, since putting a 20xe in its drives awful and is quite unreliable.
dont want to go back to 1.6 8v, and not everyone has 1.6 16v
Trust me the 1.6 16v isnt reliable! Its a pig of a engine but fun when it works. You could put a 16xe in and still have the same problems. sort the 20xe out!
any more pics?
Meh! Any engine is as reliable as you make it. If it's second hand and had a hard life it's bound to be more trouble. It's the reason I had mine fully rebuilt - a 7700 rpm rev limit makes that a necessity.Originally Posted by BIGS
I agree it's certainly a fun little engine though!
im sorry but mine was in adams white car, that had a very hard life, even had gravel trap all over it,Originally Posted by phazer
the only thing wrong is a ****ing leaky rocker cover
And the ecu after you had held it in your hands.
