New beam isn't on yet - I need to source some handbrake cable guides and devise a roll bar setup. I did have the new chassis brace and solid rack mounts to test out.

Housie couldn't be bothered to come up to see me. The main purpose of the day was testing my mates new MX5 coilovers!

If the beam's with the rose joints you wont need the ARB

Isn't the new beam going to be this one? (or like it?)

That is the actual beam yes. My understanding is the link bars keep the geometry in check, but will not give the benefits of a roll bar reducing wheel-to-wheel roll.

    It's obvious isn't it!!

The torsional stiffness of the additional bars secured to the beam using flexible rose joints add dynamic load spreading, meaning that the additional G-forces caused on conditional turn in translate through the flexible joint and into the centre of the beam, thereby fully dissipating any form of oversteer body roll or fluctuation. The only real way to work this out is to install a torsion/roll meter and assess if the car does indeed flex the tyres more, if it does then you'll know that the rear beam is indeed on solid mounts and the shocks are too stiff. The answer then would be to try 5 different sets of rear shocks and then after that install an absolute central roll limiter to prevent further discretional body roll around the Y axis.

However if you just wanna bolt on ARB's willy nilly then don't come crying to me when you're backwards in the gravel
