Everything's he-manned up I guess the rubber on an OE alternator allows a bit of movement, whereas this has an M10 bolt through the alt, spacer and bracket and no rubber anywhere. This, along with the RJs, act as an earth so no extra earth cable required too.

Err I thought the rose joint would earth my standard alt bit was getting arc'ing across the rose joint.
You will probably be ok because as you say th bottom mount is a bolt not rubbers as on the standard one!!!
I've changed my front bumper bolts into R clips, I'm thinking of having them blackodized but until then this is what they look like.

Last Monday I took it to Snetterton 300 circuit. Good day out, no breakages, but turned very wet from 11am onwards so made it difficult driving. No real pics as I was left to attend alone by someone I shall not name.
