Big upgrade, the Tranx I had fitted has lost some preload so requires a rebuild. Good opportunity to upgrade to a Gripper. They are a truly fantastic company to deal with.

Stripped it down and it's like new inside, started rebuilding to regain the preload to factory specs but soon got bored and sent it off to Gripper to finish the work:

Back from Gripper, pressed on some new bearings, races and seals:

The body is larger than a standard/ATB/Tranx diff (it doesn't allow for a speedo ring either) which meant some light casing modifications were required by removing the speedo drive mount and shortening the speedo drive into a blank:

All fitted up, test driven and works beautifully:

Finally, an upgrade to the tow rig was in order so acquired House's old Transit, she's a good old bus:

Grippers are a super sexy Diff.

Are you bothering with a speed readout? if so how are you going about it

Not only is the product great but they're so helpful on the phone. Would rather talk you through servicing your own than send it in.

Already on a Stack dash with their wheel speed sensor pointing to a CV ABS ring so didn't actually need the original box one.

Heads off, lets sort the overrun burning once and for all. It's with Cylinder Head Developments for a refurb including new guides.

You can see signs of headgasket failure and oil ingress marks from the guides here so was about due anyway:

Looked into bronze and others, my guy recommended standard guides for standard valves so that's what it'll be getting. I'm watering the petrol down, it's too expensive nowa days.

Still smokes, got to rebuild bottom end.
