senor presidente del la tyres a los ballonnos,

stretched tyres are practical, the help save the rear arches from schraping when running wide wheels.

i'm just wondering why its not used much in th uk.

you guys build mid-engined nova's, RWD nova's etc etc.you guys come up with loads of crazy engine stuff, why didnt anythink think of putting a smaller tyre on the rim, so you can run a nice wheel instead of holding on to the whole 6j et49 thing?

its a good point. i personaly like the look. but the problem i have is i dont want to keep the car as standard as possible with a standard looking rim with it low low low and wide wheels with stretched tyres!!

I run stretched tyres on my two vduds, 195/40/17's on 8.5s on my mk3 golf vr6turbo drive it hard makes no difference in handling, other one runs 215/35/16's on a 9" rim again no probs, Looked at getting some 8x14 sr steels (banded) that i know for sale with 185/50s and they looked awsome for our current nova project.

8x14 banded steelies is wide banding steelies drops the offset in huge steps. thats going to need some serious arch mods.
