does anyone know what the law says about stretched tyres?

It's a mot failure if the tyre/wheels sticks out beyond the arch IIRC. So get your MOT then fit the stretchies
it really dosent look safe to me
I read on here somewhere, someone didn't recommend them for everyday driving, dangerous handling or something. Wherever the thread was, was advised show use only.
I think it looks well safe!
My Rebuild
They're over there with their new toys. Someone brought them in. No idea who bought them though.....

and also if your a ****e driver for parking you will always kerb your alloys, where as i have ballons which are over sized for the rim, and stick out, the tyre always hits first
Depends how stretched you're going. Looks mint either way.
Ah la
if the tyres are really stretched then under very hard cornering there is a chance they can come off the bead on the rim. When i got my mini it had 195/35/13's on but when i changed them i could only get 175/50/13's and the tyre manufacturer insisted on warning me that if they do come off "tough ****" although to be fair the tyres seem to sit square with the rim
