    three times what i pay for my golf gti...


    but keeping on subject, i always thought the SR's wernt too bad on insurance, only being in group 5 iirc. i remember getting a quote when i was 17 that it was cheaper for me and my dad to insure a 1.3sr than a 1.0 2 door saloon, strange...

    I have to agree with the above. My first car at 18 was a SRi, and it worked out cheaper for insurance on that than on a 1.0 spin.

    well i insured my 1.4sr for £18 a year more than my 1.2!!

    have you tried go-compare.com mate
    my insurance was 800 for a 1.2 nova in wolverhampton
    went on go-compare got it to 300
    but 3k for a sr when ur 18 is still high id say

    I'm in oldham and i did a quote on a 1.6 conversion nova which had been put on log book and with 1 years no claims its only 1200 same as a 1.2 nova :S

    no mines 1300 fully comp 500 excess im 17 with a slightly modded 1.2 2 door saloon no alarm or imobiliser
    you have to look about to find a good deal like i did i was qouted about 2500 endless times
