    Unhappy J plate Nova GSI Grey with Redtop/c20xe

    I think the time may have come to sell my much loved 1991 Grey Nova GSI with C20xe redtop conversion.



    This car did start its life as an original nova GSI.

    Still registered as an 1.6 GSI on logbook. Never had time to change it thats up to you!! I had this car insurered with Performance direct fot £280. I am 24, have no no claims but no points or accidents.

    The engine and gearbox is from an 84,000 mile Astra GTE 16v. It was installed 13,000 miles ago @ 76,000.

    I have just fitted digital clocks but have a photo of the old ones that read 90,400. I have done roughtly 500 miles since then.

    The car has,

    Astra GTE 16v C20XE 2.0 16v engine and gearbox (F20) with 89,000 on it, it always starts, runs well, plenty of power and wheelship and good oil pressure as shown in one pic.

    It runs gsi hubs and 22 spline driveshafts. Engine bays was strenthened and seam welded.

    15inch ripspeed wheels with v good tyres 2 nearly brand new two 50% worn. ( i do have 2 centre caps for the wheels but i think they look better off).

    Astra GTE Digi-dash, all fully working no faults.

    Usual GSI spec, Electric windows, central locking ect.

    Vectra V6 front drilled and grooved discs and brand new pads.

    Clear rear lights.

    Magnex Stainless Downpipe back Exhuast (YES genuine Magnex) from nova gsi. Engine downpipe altered to suit exhaust.

    Toad Full closure alarm. With two working fobs.

    Flush door locks all round.

    SPAX lowered 50mm springs and shockers.

    Alloy fuel filler cap.

    Flush Tailgate, inc lock and button, has electric button to pop boot between electric window switches

    Flush Side Skirts.

    All arches lipped.

    Very good solid front and rear arches, rears are near mint with just slightest spots. Fronts were replaced last year and have slight creasing due to been lipped,
    hardly noticable.

    Panasonic CD player

    6x9's in parcel shelf (There a bit rubbish!!)

    Full respray last year, inc two new front wings, 1 rear arch replaced. (The colour used is slighly darker than the original grey for better effect).

    The number plate is only stuck to the boot with double sided tape so can be removed if you require it on the bumper and there will be no holes.

    Since i have replaced the other rear arch and it is currently sprayed in primer.

    I do have the passenger new GSI door decal with 16v put havent put it on untill the arch was sprayed.

    Standard and Mint Nova GSI Interior. Door cards i think are from a sri but recovered.

    Mot untill 3rd Jan 2010 - Nearly 12 months - Tax untill 31.06.09.

    For MOT it had:-

    2 new front wheel bearings, (£60 each)

    Magnex Stainless exhaust (£90)

    2 new tyres (£100)

    New Front brake pads,

    New headlamp brackets

    and all required welding.

    Just had sevice to consist of NEW:-

    Oil, Oil filter, Fuel filter, Dizzy cap, Rotar arm, spark plugs (super 4)

    water system flush + New water and anti - freeze.

    Bad bits (if you can call them that but in the intrests of fairness).

    Door cards dont match - £20 on ebay (Missed the last one d OH!!)

    6 x 9's rubbish - £20

    Bonnet catch release in drivers footwell not fitted in place properly, may take 5 mins, still works fine and pops the bonnet as it should.

    Tickover at 1500 rpm (always have been, not caused any problems.

    Arch needs spraying in

    Some car park dings,

    little corrosion on passenger door. Would be done when arch is sprayed.

    You have to hold it in reverse, or it jumps out - never bothered me - properably just needs ajusting.

    Turns overs slow but always starts - never bothered me.

    Please note, This car is advertised elsewhere for £1800, I reserve the right to remove at any time.

    Please Note:- I bought this car just to sell on. Its cost me alot more to make right than i thought and when i did MOT it I enjoyed it that much i taxed it and run it for 3 weeks.     Im guessing its this one here. locations are the same, and something tells me its not a Genuine GSi

    mike i can assure you it is a real gsi. even listed on log book. what makes you think it isn't??

    Does it have sunroof? Has standard pov spec dash too

    yeah it has a sunroof. is this cos dash is grey??

    Yes standard grey dash, dosent have black gsi dash, please get a high res pic of the engine bay please.

    i think the only thing that looks like its genuine is the rear window surround trim
