Has anyone ever fitted a head unit with a monitor that slides out and then flips up into a Mk2 dash, seems that it wouldnt work because the screen would hit the dash any one got any experience of it??

I've had my alpine in a nova and it looked OK but virtually impossible to watch as it too low down, but its adjustable so it'll park wherever you want it to don't know if all makes do that
Rip out the center heaters in the dash and fix it in there.
Mk2 = stick it where the centre vent are and move the hazard switch.
Mk1 = ooh look, it's allready up there,
.. u can buy DIN size spacers -try those first. Fit one or two onto the cage then slide the whole lot into the dash - will bring the unit out more; may clear heater controls then..
spacers are cheap; im sure ebay has some.
"let me drive.. i won't make a fool out of you"
it one i have you can set the screen to how much of angle it pops out to
I absloutly refuse to remove the analogue clock on my dash (love it for some reason) gonna get the head unit then find a way to force it flat instead of at an angle and see if it clears the dash I think
ive got a mk2.. and ive got a dvd flips screen.. i left the old stereo bracket in.. so it sits up abit more.. when screens up, it covers the heater nobs.
