    Do Admiral do engine conversions now? As they've been telling me each year for the past 3 or 4 years that they don't. Gits

    I'd try specialist insurers like Flux/HIC and Sky first, go from there. You may find having a GSi as the base car may up it a bit as some insurance companies will base it on a modified group 11 car, instead of a modified group 3/4 (1.0/1.2), but anyone worth their salt should treat them all the same.

    the thing with insurance is nearly everything is a variable, even the time of the month


    ive got quotes from the same companies withen minutes of each other that have been hundreds different

    im with Ecar and paying £589 fully comp, with 0 NCB, only been just under year. with my ex still on there classed as a young couple

    elephant wont insure it if its had an engine conversion, they wont touch my nova merit with a gte lump, admiral wont touch it either as these were top of my list

    Ring them up, I bet they could halve that if you haggled a bit. I think Flux originally quoted me something like £1500 on the saloon with an XE and a host of other mods, then came down to under £350 after I rang them and moaned

    If you want to try and insure a xe @ 19, What you going to be trying to insure @ 25...?

    IMO dont come up the line too fast, Your appreciate it more as your only get bored with the more power you get under.
