    Actually, the ex's insurance went UP by a few quid when her car went from "Parked on driveway" to "parked in garage"... odd. I guess maybe thieves may think there's something of worth in a locked garage...
    I insured mine as parked in residentail bays this year as it was £10 cheaper than on the drive/(lockup 8ft walls). I think its to do with the number of claims for hitting walls and posts ect.

    Its not fronting as you're not saying your dad is the main driver. It is however insurance fraud as you're saying your car is primarily stored at this location when its not. If your car gets nicked from outside your house, you'll have a hard time proving you always keep it at your parents place.

    Insurance companies usually ask if the car is stored at your home address overnight, either that or they make the assumption your home address is the storage address.
