Diagnostic plug on XE

Did some looms come without a diagnostic plug?
mine dosnt have one, and i can see anywhere where one might have been. The loom seems to be a good uncut one?

im puzzled because my ECU light is on but the car is running ok

The diagnostic plugs were fitted onto the car loom as they also allowed the complete car and ecu to be checked.

IIRC in the footwell, probably taped up there will be a brown/yellow wire which you need to fit to ground.

I think the brown blue is the ecu light wire which by the sounds of it you have connected.

Do the test with the engine running and look on www.topbuzz.co.uk for the fault codes
