Gauge Ideas Please Help!!!

hi all,

ive got a couple of ideas and wonderd if anyones done it or know how to,
my idea is..... on my mk 2 dash take out the 3 cicular dials for the heater and replace them with some gauges ie bat volt meter, tacho gauge oil pressure may possibly just do the 2 and leave the heater temp one in,


any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Quite a few people have done that, you'll need 52mm gauges iirc

nice one how hard a job would you say it is?whats involved?

Obvioucly you'll need to cut in behind the switches and wire them in. The most difficult part will be relocating the switches.

any steps on how to put these gauges in and wire up?
the thing which changes where the air is directed wont be relocated if i do this as i havnt changed the setting since i got the car

Yes but your switches etc will be.

Wiring depends on what guages you're fitting. Oil Pressure, Volt Meter, etc etc etc.
