Not a hard fix. Cut out the middle (green bit) Clean all the sides up then put a flat plate in there. On the top (in the boot) cut the metal back so you can see in the chassis leg, as i bet that's rotten too. Then you can work out if you need to remove the end and replace. Then weld a flat plate in from the top over the holes. Joining bottom and top plates.

Not that bad, ashamed to say i had to do the same in mine. Due to the sunroof drain being blocked.

Thanks Benn... I knew I could rely on you for a reply. I know where needs cutting and replacing... My problem is getting in there to cut it, I can't get my grinder in there enough to make a neat job.

Cut what you can out, then grind the rest to 1 remove left overs, 2 clean up for welding.
Grinder, or a belt sander. One of the best tools i own.

I made plates up like this... They dont look neat there, but everything with trimed and made nice.

Cheers guys, I got there in the end, I took the guard off my air cut off tool, made things easier, the rest was threatened with a mahoosive chisel. Made a template with a cheerios box and bobs your uncle.

The front end fit is very good for a Nova, I spent hours trying to get mine half as good as that!

Now looking at this, what was the chassis leg like under? As it looks a bit crispy... Unless it's just the pic....
