    Default Brake questions

    Would changing the master cylinder and servo on a 1300 to GTE/GSI make any diffrence?
    Im going to use astra gte 16v discs and calipers.

    People say it does, but IMO it doesnt.

    All nova master cylinders are identical.

    Alls a bigger servo does is make braking easier, it doesn't make your brakes work better.

    the only difference is in the valves on the rear brake lines. they have different ratios....I'm not sure which is best, but gte's have 3/45 on them, & i have seen 3/20, 3/4 etc. on different models.

    I had 16v spec running a sport servo, no problems at all, nice solid pedal

    Im running a 284 v6/turbo setup on a 1.2 servo and mc, no problems at all.

    I think its down to making sure the whole system is working well, the rears never self adjust.
