my nova wont spark for some reason,sometimes is will spark and start and run fine but other times it just turns over and wont kick up
if it does kick up it will die as soon as you try to drive the car
please can some1 help me,im clueless

it would make life a lot easier if we knew what engine this is!

ohhh sorry about that,its a mk1 1.6 gte
sounds like cam pick-up isnt sensing the engine cranking, or the ignition module/ coil is duff.
do you mean its not sparking or not firing?
the engine is just turning over and not firing but when i took the sparks out to see if they are sparking they aint sparking
so i thourt it was the dizzy or the rotor but i aint sure
is the fuel pump energising as the engine is cranking?

yea the fuel pump is engaging
is the earth lead that goes from the chassis to the gearbox on the passenger side connected and not damaged
