Default "Clive" the Calibra For Sale

Right its up for sale as i have my eyes on a Redtop. "clive" is the name my best female friend has given it! whoever buys him must treat him well!

Its a Calibra SE4 M reg, 164k miles but the engine has been replaced 2000 miles ago and hasnt missed a beat.

The 8v 2.0 engine has done 145k but was rebuilt 15k ago and came from a carlton. Im told the Oil was changed every 4k since it was bought and had full service history before that. Before it was put into the Calibra all seals were replaced as the crankseal weeped abit.. New clutch, also replaced Oil pump and water pump and cambelt change.

The details i have on the engine are that...

The head is modified by Bill Blydenstein, the head got bigger inlet and exhaust valves so obviously new valve seats and valves were fitted. Im told it was Fully gas-flowed by BB himself and has a Courtenay Sport Hi-Torq cam (Piper 270 degree).
All new valve train components (hydraulic lifters, the lot), gaskets, seals, etc. were used on re-assembly and a new water pump was fitted too. I have All the receipts for the engine that total over £1000

Was set up on a Rolling road at came out at 140BHP in the carlton with standard Ecu, airbox and exhaust, The calibra has a Stainless steel exhaust that might make a difference. This can also be de-catted and Cavalier SRI 130 ecu or remapped ecu would help alot.

No real service history with the calibra as my brother and stepdad are mechanics and have worked on it and kept it in tip top shape.

Lowered by 40mm, 18 inch alloys Refurbished in White NO KURB MARKS. with 4 good tyres that have done about 2000 miles.
Cat to back Stainless steel exhaust system from Longlife.

Arches are lovely and are regulary cleaned!

Cream interior is in brilliant condition.

Infinity rear & front components and Sony headunit with sub and amp.

Blue light conversion inside. All clocks and switches are blue led.

    Badbits:

Wear on cream bucket seats. No Rips or tears though.

Driverside anti-roll bar Droplink will need replacing which would cost afew pounds from vauxhall-car-parts.com.

Small 50pence piece bubble of rust under drivers door above the sill.
    Usual stonechips.
Rust appearing above rear numberplate the size of 5p and a smaller patch on the passenger side door where the window rubber starts...

I have been completely honest with this car.

MOT untill Oct 2008 - 1 advisory on last MOT - Brakes tarnished - car had been off the road.
    Tax untill October

Any questions please ask. Think i have covered the mains?

£1000 Ono with alloy wheels. (fairly good tyres)

Engine is in great nick, theres a slight tap on startup but this is due to one of the lifters being lazy and has been known since the rebuild, i have a brand new set of hydraulic lifters which came with the engine if you would want to fit them, its never bothered me so i have kept them in storage.

changing the oil today, new oil filter and baffleplate sump gasket (£30 from vauxhall) not a cheapie one.

Also, after checking the oil everyweek, i havent seen a decrease in oil, theres no oil leaks and the block is pretty clean.

i always use Castrol GTX Magnetic 10/40. It doesnt smoke either.
