you could always try to find a varijet carb off mk1 astra with manifold, the over choke size is much greater than that of the weber, and the choke mechanism is manual like the weber....

carb too rich mate, had identical problem, its probs just because of the uprated cam increasing the induction

just thought i would let you know, MR NOVAMADMAN, i HAVE found a gripper LSD for ?90, AND it is brand new still in box, just by asking around, i found somebody who had written off a nova and needed...

would be end float as said, also, a hamfisted ammateur may have had carb apart, and snapped one of the bottoms of the jets, and maybe up hill or with quick acceleration the fuel moves to the back of...

if i had choice between 1200 and 1300 id pick 1200, its got a shorter stroke, and all the 1300 ancillaries can fit on the 1200 as i did once, e.g. skimmed 1300sr head, twin down pipe doesnt mean...
