Like i said above, putting the volume/gain on anything above 3/4 will introduce some sort of distortion (well ita a generally accepted fiqure), whether you can hear it or not is a different matter....
Hehe, amen brother!
^^^ What he said.
You dont need to put foam in the enclosure, all this does is create the effect of a larger volume, so handy if your box is too small, otherwise there aint much point.
Dont...
On the side is generally ok, you normally only have problems if the amp is upside down.
If your getting overheating, you should add some fans to the system
You should put the gains to minimum then put ur stereo to 3/4 volume.
Then turn up the gains on the amp until it just sarts to stuggle, then put them down a touch.
Dont turn the stereo more...
Lol, good advice there, TBH there isnt much stuff out there any worse than SPLX, it really is cheap crap. Granted they might go pretty loud, but they sound terrible and wont last long.
Amazing speakers?!? LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL
You have to be very delicate! Little soldered wires everywhere etc...
Once done it would prob work fine, but be careful, this is from past experience
clipping, basically sending the sub a distorted signal, will mess up the sub in no time. You should be able to hear it doing it though.
To be safe ide use a bigger amp, it wouldnt hurt using the...
You havent heard bass until you listen to 3 6 Mafia - Late Night Tip :o
Try one from a diesel nova, prob the highest current one you will find, should fit straight on too but dont quote me on that
An amp will only amplify what it is given, as the saying 'junk in, junk out' says. So by the sounds of it your headunit is sending a distorted signal at high volumes.
To set it up properly, put...
It would power them, be careful no to clip the amp though as the subs/speakers will blow in no time.
Personally ide use a bigger amp
Also, the MAX power figures dont really tell you much, you...

IS THATS UR DOOR CARDS IN THAT LINK WITH THE WITH THE 6X9 THAT IS THE DOOR CARDS I WANT. ANYONE GOT A QUICK GUIDE ON HOW THEY MADE THEN....[/quote]
 Theres no telling some people.
Dont forget to run the power, RCAs and speaker wires seperately down the middle and each sides of the car to reduce interferance.
If you let us know what amp and speakers you got we can help you...
The heatsinks are designed to dissipate heat upwards and outwards as heat rises. Place an amp upside down, with the heatsink upside down, the heat still rises. So the heat sink does sod all and the...
Lol, i have a stalker! :o
The best form of cheap sound deadening material is flashing tape, a good example is morley tape, should be found in B&Q etc... Comes in large rolls, youll prob find you will need a few layers to get...
the reason 6x9's dont give as good a quality sound wise is coz they r giving highs mids and lows. where as wiv components the tweeters give the highs the4 or 6" gives the mids and the a sub gives u...
I wouldnt say im an expert, but i know a fair bit i guess. Never heard of Crossfire before, done a bit of research and they seem to be fairly respectable in America, they even sell horns which is...
Why are you guys hooked on getting 6x9s? They sound SH!T.
Plus you dont need em if your getting a sub.
A good set of components and a sub amped up would easily sound better and louder than...
:?
IMO the best setup would be....
A CD/MP3 player (not Sony!)
A 12" sub (not Sony!)
A set of components up front (not Sony!)
An amp or two to power them (not Sony!)
They may look good but they wont be the correct size for the subs being used (or very doubtful anyway). You would be better building one yourself to the manufactureres TS parameters IMO.
