Thanks Bazil very helpful!
Got it, makes perfect sense. Didn’t consider the base models wouldn’t have had any wires running to the doors!
Thank Iain.
Millworm, thank you. Do you mean wiring into the doors, where the wires enter the door? So lower spec models will have these wires in a different place or in a smaller hole?
Is...
Thanks, I had a J reg GSi which has a E16SE, have seen a K reg which also has a E16SE, wondering if this has been swapped for a larger engine, then returned to a 1.6 for sale.
Thanks Iain, can you describe the skirt mounting more? Any links to visual differences?
As my other post says I?m in the market for an SR / GTE / GSi. Having reshelled a Nova back in the 2000?s I know it was relatively common when the cars were worth a few hundred quid.
Now...
I?m in the market for a Nova, looking at SR?s, GTE?s and GSi?s.
Knowing engine conversions were popular back in the 2000?s and originality is key in 2020?s, I suspect some cars will be converted...
I've had a clear out and have come across these Nova wheel bolts. There are 10 in total and a castle nut. I thought I'd offer them on here, but if there is no interest I'll chuck them in the...
Fit it, it will make a good difference to the performance of the engine :)
No Ste is right.
People get 22 spline driveshafts to use for big block conversions, the 1.6 8v is small block.
Check the gearbox you use, not all flys and clutches are compatible with each...
I had an early 91 J-reg GSi with E16SE & F13CR with 22 splines.
www.novatrader.co.uk anyone remember that......? lol
The skyline should have moved over, well before he got overtaken.
IIRC the Flywheel for the F10 is smaller than for the F13. If you are thinking of changing to an F13 box get the fly from that lightened it - costs ~?20 at a good machinists.
I'm not sure if...
As said nitrous is probably the easiest, cheapest & involving the least hassle way of doing it.
There's an E16SE Turbo build here
GTE's & Early GSis had the E16SE. The later GSi's had the C16SE.
www.tuning.co.uk/vauxshop/ sells all the parts needed for the 40 conversion :)
A 4-2-1 manifold would work very well with the cam and 40's.
What year is it? IMO you'll be lucky to get ?1300, most go for under ?1k with similar miles on the clock. Good luck with the sale.
Change your avatar you tw*t.
The cam and the 4-2-1 will be a good combination. I had this set up with a 272 deg cam and made 125lb/ft @ Regal
My favourite was coming on to the motorway, this guy in a suit followed me in the outside lane of the slip road onto leading to the motorway, he was sat on my rear bumper as I was checking my blind...
ROTF I thought this was a joke
Seen that on sxoc. I maintain that if anyone drove like that around me I'd wait for them to pit and break their jaw. It fcuked me off just watching it. They make the same mistakes over and over again.
He was a ****ing tool. Not seen him on RB since the post he put up about NL.
