I would consider the plating kit a must and not an option with a 2.0 nova, the competition mounts are great for what they do but do generate more noise and feeling through the shell!

The new bolt is for the top right one in the picture, fit the mount to the steel engine bracket and fit them together, the bolt should face away from the chassis leg or it wont fit in!

I am indeed a member, i used to do some steel mounts for ?115 but i cant source one of the bushes anymore so i buy them in, they are from the same supplier as protec but work out at nearly ?40...

I use and supply a lot of ashley and never had a problem with there stuff, always fits and has a very robust construction and hard wearing!

Hi greg, if your going to use it for rallying then the plating kit is essential, as are a pair of strut top plates along with some extensive seam/stitch welding of the shell if you want it to last...

i used my engine fine without any problems/noises e.t.c. for 7 months, then i built another engine with no problems either!

The engine did have new rings, bearings e.t.c. but not new pistons.

What size tyres you using? with a f13cr box at 4000rpm using 195/50R15 for example you would be doing 78mph.

If you fitted the WR 5th gear you would be doing 97mph which i dont think the engine...

i used to get 220psi on my old 1.6 8v, standard they measure between 150-180

Northern ireland is only the same postage rates if you use the post office, plating kit is too heavy to send through post office when boxed up as the post office is only cheap below 2kg.

With a 270 degree camshaft even if the head is excessivley skimmed it shouldnt touch the pistons if the cam is timed up correctly! Sounds like you will have to recheck the timing and if its ok the...

The last gte i had did between 240-270 to a tank full, maybe get your car setup on a rolling road and serviced if it hasnt been done recently!

The first kit was a copy mine which he purchased early on this year, since then i have altered the shape of a few plates which didnt fit 100%

If he has one of my mount kits as he mentioned then he will have the gearbox mount spacer kit and new bracket for the O/S front mount which doesnt require dropping by 1.5"
