weber made a carb for this car, you would need a 1300 twin choke manifold, & an adaptor plate to run the 32/34 carb, Much better in terms of bhp gains-Probably abt 3bhp! lol but its mainly a better...
Even more reason to get the weber mate.
Lucky guy mate, Shame about the corsa though, Looked good. bet the wheels got buckled too right?
^ you will later regret saying that! ;)
My last Nova was 7 days from being an L-Reg, R.I.P J7OVA Formerly K-reg obviously.
No chance of removal from my experience
My 1.4 on 40's, head work, 285 cam, etc had 107bhp, and that done 127mph, but was probably 110mph! Obviously on a very private road.
all novas have round exhaust manifold so any will fit including the GSi manifold, which I think is the best standard one, But it bends to the opposite side under the car, so would need a bit welded...
Yeah thats nice, good plans with the engine too ;)
As for the spoiler-not my cup of tea-I prefer them without a spoliler.
looked really nice to start with mate-but after that  your lucky to be here!
and unlike the pooburg its reliable! ;)
When I had 40's on my 1.4 it flamed and popped at times when being pushed hard, due to overfuelling. My XE over fuels when coming off the accelerator causing a big rumbling noise! sounds good, echoes...
Its best to use a weber 32/34 carb. Also the 4 branch IMO wont really give any power gains, but the noise is nicer & the engine sounds smoother.
Could be bent cam then? would make sense. Still should check for metal and avoid using the car. Could make more damage otherwise.
Can I use the G3 Compound without a buffing machine?
Hmm, this happened on my mates XE, turned out to be a bent crank & big end bearing. Check for metal in the oil or oil filter housing. Hope its not that mate.
I got away with them tonnes of times, But always knew it was at the MOT testers discretion. They are illegal.
I should imagine a standard evo 5 for example would be pretty close matched to a LET Nova, Power to weight I suppose. Makes sense.
As above ^ a worthwhile modification, I had this done to my last Nova, then I added some nova sport 40's! ;)
wow, i remember this car a few years back, Glad to see at long last its ended up in the right hands. Keep up the good work mate. :thumb:
Huh? Must have had a mobile workshop! how long did u leave it for before u realised?!
Id keep mine, put a Porsche 996 Turbo engine in the rear! 420bhp rwd-maybe tweak it to 550bhp! That would be great around nurburg!
But Mick-Ireland is hardly foreign mate ;)
around here nobody would touch the car if they thought u were irish! Bad news round these parts! lol. Plus I have an irish private plate-Baz ****
In my experience, if your paying cash in hand abt 150 an arch, plus around ?800 -?1100 for a respray.
try an ecu off a known good car.
