195/45r16 is still larger than the original nova tyre sizes so its the best option out of them all
u need a cat to pass an MOT and u cant run a cat with carbs as the fuelling isnt anywhere near accurate enough
idle stepper fault is occuring becuase the ecu has closed the ICV completely and its still idling high so it assumes a fault with ICV
map sensor fault will occur if its not piped into manifold?
right ive done this and wrote the guide so here goes:
the 1800 TB has a throttle stop screw on it which as it comes off the cav is set too high and will mean it will idle very high (over 2k iirc)...

use the GTE cam and GTE inlet manifold with the 1400 throttle body attached
crank sensor just bolts onto oil pump so thats not a problem
it will work, however you'll need a custom clutch plate to match the input shaft on the F13
then the box will probably spread itself all over the place after about a day
C20XE is the 150bhp motor and is identifiable by its L shaped spark plug cover and SFI box
X20XEV is the 138bhp motor and has a streight spark cover and a rubber pipe coming off the throttle body
it will get worse, and probably damage other things like bores/valves etc
the flywheels are the same on all 1.2s and 1.4s upto engine number 2T39566/19073909/19074804
later 1400's used the 1600...
stu they only changed to corsa ATE brakes in 1992, all mk2's pre 1992 had delco calipers fitted
c14se and c16se injectors are the same which is why he needs a c16se ecu
just fit all the 1400 parts (bar the inlet manifold itself unless you wanna **** around with the egr) and it'll be fine...
and much more importantly correct mapping
bruces relatively mild engine makes 146bhp on MBE management, it would make more, but we cant rev it any higher due to still having hydraulics, and the...
You can use everything off the 1400 BUT the enigine will then run lean and probably melt itself
c16se ecu would be advisable for safety assuming the same pinout
fit the 1400 manifolds complete...
yup the engines stalled and oil pressures gone cos its not turning any more
you probably dipped the clutch when it died ;)
squeeze the 1" hose that comes off the main air pipe and goes to the Secondary Air Valve on the bck of the cam housing
if the idle drops (once the engine is warm) that valves broken
its down the edge of the block where the gearbox bolts onto on 20xe's iirc
u might find the lifters are overjacked and holding the valves open, compression test might be a wise move
just bore it out to take 1400 pistons
its already got the same crank as a 1400, so get some 1400 pistons and rods and bore it out to take them
but as has been said, its expensive and pointless...
when taking it apart do not undo the union on the brake line
remove the old caliper and tie it up out the way
remove the old disk
fit new disk and caliper and test the wheel on it
IF it works...
