the passenger side one doens get in the way, only the drivers, i dont wana take it off the hub, i didnt when removing the box so i shudnt need to now? i mite tho jus to make it easier.
just putting a f13 on my 1.4 after the f10 went. the drivers side driveshaft is kinda in the way, can i put it in the gearbox then try and fiddle the gearbox onto the block?

dont bother with filters unless you are driving around a dirt track all day, even then....
i have had my 40's for over a year now and done a good 2500-3000 miles on them, with no filters through...
yeh the one just before the gearbox selecter housing on top of the gear box.
problem, i cant get it out. any tips, realy pissing me off now!
as everyone else said! undo wheel, ball joint, then put a crow bar where the shafts go into the box, a little wiggle then out they pop!

can i get away with only taking off the wheel by the gearbox or do i have to take both front ones off (so i can pop out driveshafts?)

i can move the gear stick, the car still tries to go forward, except when i put it in reverse, then it doesnt move and just stalls when i release the clutch, so i think 5th's stuck, sum1 advised me....
yeh linkage all ok, i took it off when i took the gearbox top cover off, i un-did the linkage, but even with that off, the cover off (so i can see the selectors) when i push the car, the crank goes...
the joys of novas.... its been fine for soo long now, then problems when i need it most!!!
when i try and start it i jerks forward and wont start, it does start with the clutch pressed tho, but...
