you will probably want a conversion set as that will inc new crank seals as well as the oil pump gasket and sump gasket.

Best place to do this is on a rolling road. iirc you set the timing without the vac line connected on a std car.

Strip it and check the condition. if its scored replace. you can also put in new gears if it is out of spec if the case is OK.

just use a 4 speed cluster saves over a kg :-)
Check to see if the cam belt hasn't jumped a tooth or two.
Heat the ally up then use grips that's the way I do it.

you can measure your block and head etc give ARP the dinensions and they will tell you what stud kit will work.
Take the oil pressure relief valve out. Check for scoring as it may be sticking. Clean it up and polish it with some 2000 & 2500 grit wet and dry.
I'd check the cam belt timing too.
You really need the block honing otherwise not much point in running in.
all 1300 cams are the same. get an AE one from Allittmotorsport all the short track oval racers use them, if the vauxhall ones were better we would be using them.
