I'd be very interested to see photos of this build progressing thanks.
Are your 40/32.5 ones from Risse I take it? I assume that you'll need offset guides for the 41.7/33.7
I am considering using 41.8 inlets from the C20NE maybe keeping std exhaust valves
Wanted a 1.6 8v big valve head, Blydenstein ideally but will consider anything with REC valves or 39/32mm valves
I'm putting Wilwood Dynalites on a corsa 240x20mm disc under 13's, but I'm getting an engineer to make up some brackets for them and they'll only go under Revolution RFXs.
Otherwise it looks like...
Right, to clear things up. I've had the upright (hub) machined out to take the audi whee bearings. What I'm after is, will the astra drive flanges work having only reduced the diameter of the step on...
I'm going to be fitting big block hubs to my nova to accomodate the larger shafts etc. and I've had the uprights opened out, got the bearings and flanges ready to go.
For the machining of the...
Update on the helmet situation: Helmet clears!........ But the top of the helmet is higher than the top of the cage :( So the ralis will be being re-done. Thanks to all who spotted it, I would have...
Cool, I'll check with my lid on next time I'm down in the garage. Like I say, the seating position is nice where it is (could be a tad lower, but not enough to warrant re-doing the rails). We'll see!
Good point, I'll take my lid with me next time I'm there. Thanks for that
I think they look worse in the photo. They're positioned quite nicely IMO, and the nav side one is quite deep so you sit very low within the seat. TBH, the one on my side is fine for me as if it were...
Long overdue progress update!
Got a hold of a pair of ex-Prodrive WRC Sparco Carbon buckets and couldn't pass on them, got them back home and mocked up - it'll be cosy in there to say the least!...
The ideal position would've been behind the navigator's footrest but with the impending rule changes it would be stupid to put it there and have to move it when I apply for an MSA logbook.
There is...
Oil
Water
Brake Fluid
Tools
Jack
Axle Stands
Driveshafts?
Torque Wrench
Tyre Pressure Gauge
Compression Tester
Thanks :thumb:
I believe that this Lucas one is the same dimensions as a RedTop20 (or 25) and the equivalent Odyssey. If it turns out that I need a higher capacity battery then we may need some...
Care to elaborate?
O/S front would be heavier wouldn't it, with the engine over on that side. Also, if you're having a jib at the battery placement then I chose there as it's accessible and...
Lightened & balanced standard jobby with a paddle clutch
Got an AST3 Kent Cam here that would fit, might be a bit too much for road use
I've got one for sale with an uprated clutch if you're still looking
Might have a pair, I'll PM you if I find them
Are they the same as just the standard base pull handles?
Been a while since I updated this, managed to get some progress done at the weekend following buying a new welder (CWS BestMig 160i - top bit of kit)
Popped in to see my machinist/engine builder...
Bilsteins are just about the best fixed rate damper you can get. After that you're looking at AVO's or Gaz for adjustables but TBH, taking a leaf from Pro-tec and Hockly, they go for Bilstein and the...

Don't know if anyone can help but I'm looking for a thread and I can't remember for the life of me who's it is.
Basically, someone's taken a gauge cluster, cut the plastic "lens" to leave a nice...
