It's Siemens kit.
AFAIK there is no adjustment per se. They run a RON plug to set max ignition and have no knock sensor. The only changes would be minor percentage adjustments for air/water temp.
Soldering the tracks on these is possible but very difficult. you could try a repair using the stuff they sell to fix rear window heater strips? It's just conductive paint.
Oh FFS seriously put the ****ing handbags down eh?
You're right they twist into place. It is a right job to get them out, I cut my hands and wrists to bits when I did it many moons ago. Dropping the fuse carrier gives a bit more room to get your arm...
The guy wanted a picture of a GTE downpipe. My comments were that it was the same as the GSi without the cat bracket. Don't see any reference in my post to the 1.3/1.4
The only difference I've seen between GTE and the Cat equipped GSi & SRi is the bracket to the floor pan on the downpipe (to help with the weight), you can see the same on Rich's pics above. Manifold...
As others have said, walk away.
When I said prices have dropped hard I didn't mean *that* hard lol You'll need to spend at least £6k and I would suspect a decent one that's been looked after is...
Always bought mine from Vauxhall. Not that expensive, inlet for an X16XE is around £7 with discount.
Don't bother with the stolen one, there's plenty to choose from. As for too cheap, prices dropped hard if you wanted to sell. I let mine go at the end of 2010 for a lot less than I and others though...
It sticks to itself but not the loom to allow the wiring to move about without straining connections etc
:thumb: :d
Which technically is theft by finding...just saying, not arsed either way lol
Oh and for the thread, most interesting thing would be a silver butter knife under the backseat of a car many years...
Power Red :thumb: Clear coated too so hopefully less pink vauxhalls in 5 years time lol
Derby was used for some testing too. I think it must be due to the infrastructure in place - Derby has one of the large network 'super' junctions for the telecoms industry.
Anyway, more info...
Seems that EE think that Derby *is* a major city, it's one of the first places to get full 4G. It's about as major as a small town but there you go, I don't mind, means decent mobile internet when we...
Sweet dude, sweet. How is PenIsland?
Time to hand in the man card I'm afraid.
Life is hard, life is cruel and most certainly is unfair. It does none of us any harm to be reminded of that every now and then.
Crank sensor fault will give this symptom. Check the wiring and the plug condition first before replacing.
You know, that reads an awful lot like a scam email. The over the top platitudes, wordy sentences etc even the grammatical mistakes are there throughout.
Hope you get your money!
Balancing is easy enough to do yourself. You can use a synchrometer (or carb balancer for the old school) which helps you get your ear in, you can then do it pretty well with a piece of tubing.

^ This. BTW who uses a crappy screen protector on gorilla glass screens? when a) anything that can scratch the glass will go through the protector and scratch it anyway b) the protector kills the...
No-one picks the locks on a Nova though, having a more secure key is useless when the lock is not the weak point. Yes they used to screwdriver the door lock which you can't with these but a socket...
Painted from the factory there is a slight dimple effect, what you have is right for a brand new unpainted bumper. IMO it looks better fully smoothed off so would be worth preping properly.
To be honest I don't know what belt I have now, when the TBs were fitted a very long bracket and belt was used. what I have now is much shorter, I *think* its a bit longer than the original SRi one,...
