changed to a GTE servo now and brakes work really well and you can almost apply them with your little finger!
But when you put them on it sounds like air is escaping from somwhere like a wooosh...
i got some spare 30's (DHLA) if your intersted. Might even trade them for your 34's.
i think my servo is knackerd too.
CAr was sat for 3/4 months and the brake pedal was a bit weird to start off with when i first drove it.
Also the brakes stick a bit like they are applying...
As title says not driven the car for a couple months and it seems the brakes are applying them selves automatically. Seems to be a problem with the vacuum servo. Has anyone had this problem or knows...
got a picture of an ashley manifold? think they are still 4-1 but they are like this:
OO
OO
rather than this
OOOO
?
it has when the conrod caps fly off.
the S denotes the CR, the las letter denotes what type of fueling.
E = MPI
V = Carb
both engines' CR lie between 9.5:1 and 10.0:1
my powerflow rear box is still in good nick after 3 years and i live by the sea.
shame i can't say the same for the rest of the shell.
hindsight can be a barsterd!
is this the guy who used to rant on about his Nova's but was only 16?
bad luck but not surprised.
the standard mechanical fuel pump found on Pierburg equipped Nova's is more than adequate for the job. in fact its too adequate at 6-8psi.
If your running Weber or Dellort then you need...
i would try and find a 1.4sr or better camshaft.
The 1.4spi is going to be rubbish and the sri cam is designed for Injectoin use and has different characteristics to a Carburrated equivalent.
a regal 4-2-1 would be better but then its not really worth the ?220+ when you can do better mods for the same price.
yeah bolts and nylon nuts and spring wachers/ rubber grommets are all on the same page on www.burtonpower.com
under
'Fuel systems - Carb Mounting Accesories - Weber DCOE'.
(same fitment as DHLA)
yes. exhaust ports are the same shape and in the same place on all nova OHC's.
i've had good dealings with them a couple times.
i was curious about the 4-2-1 gsi manifold as it look similar to regal and they charge around ?250.
so ur saying the GTE/GSI manifold is a 4-1...
choke cable from a 1.2 carbed Nova will do fine.
You need to cut it down (about half) though but its dead easy to do and it fits properly.
You should also get an adaptor plate for the air...
www.burtonpower.com
?8 for 4 x sandwich plates
or ?10 for misab.
they got loads of other bits u may need to mount as well.
just guessing dude.
are we talking about england or europe?
i think it was a mini Turbo with a single Dellorto converted for turbo use.
here we go:
http://www.geocities.com/jharkola/images/miniturbo/new_carb_fitted1.jpg
measured 133 hp@6015 rpm...
is the coolant temperature hotter than normal?
some mini's upgraded to a single Dellorto 40 carb.
probably due to more crashes pulling out of junctions and not looking left properly.

looks like thats what you need. A standard regulator won't be able to handle 3 bar from an mpi pump.
