Not gone for a blown diffuser then?

The safety issue is a big big part of the MSA's role these days. Mandating a Head And Neck Support system has been a long time coming. Dale Earnhardt perished in the Daytona 500 in 2001 due to a...
I wondered where Graham's Nova had gone.. now I know... His "wide body" isn't as wide as some of the rally-x kits, and no where near as wide as I'm planning for one of my future projects.
The...
I've had a dig around, and there are a number of schools of thought. One is 1/4 the diameter of the intake - BUT that can affect wave reflection which can affect peak torque.
Another one states that...
What's the clearance from the radius on the trumpets to the back wall of the airbox? I recall studying one of Dave Vizards publications that showed the effect of not having enough space around the...

Ahh OK. You need something really small and lightweight then.
Do you have to fit a wiper to it? I would have thought that Rain-X would be sufficient? I've never had to use the wiper when I've treated my screen. It's just a case of remembering to keep it treated!
Some of you may already know, but for those that don't, Bernie Bowden passed away yesterday following a short illness. I don't have any more details.
I've known Bernie since the early 1990's when...
Yes, that's a FVJ engine. Bog standard Nova GSI engine with a dry sump kit fitted, and as you say Colin, worth it for the dry sump kit alone. I use one of the timing toothed wheels on my GSI engine....
Having just re-read your post Jake, I don't have any pics of it in situ. It's a case of offering it up to where you want it, then bolting it in position. To get the best position it's a two-man-job...
Here's a link to eBay.... looky and see...

I use an OBP floor mounted box in my Belmont V8 Thundersaloon. That has reverse mounted master cylinders, and requires a false floor. Took a bit of getting used to as my feet are something like 4-5"...
Someone mentioned that they used a family firm in the Diss area for paint stripping - may have been blasting.
I've searched the forum, but can't find it.
Any ideas?
I have a...
Ahhh THAT Pontiac - wasn't there on Sunday.
Which Pontiac was that?

I like this one, but I would as it's mine! A few people asked me if I'd take it down the strip, but as it's geared...
190lb is fine for the front. 250 a touch too stiff for road use.
Yep. Balancing the pistons is getting them all to the same weight. Balancing the rods is done by making them weigh the same end-to-end. The rest is done rotating. My machinist usually asks for the...
Get it balanced, at that money, it's a bargain.
I assume that's the full rotating assembly - flywheel, crank, rods, front pulley, and pistons?
The only way (as has been mentioned before) to set up carbs properly is on either a static dyno, or a rolling road. No amount of "tweak and drive" will do. A good RR operator will do the biz.

AST2 is an old cam for the 1300, the NV063 is a more modern (1992!!) design that gives a better spread and improved performance over the AST2.
If you want WIDE power, then the AST8 on solids in a...

Add - Arrow steel rods, lightened flywheel, Gp.A cover, paddle plate.
DCOE manifold with 45mm lumenition or similar throttle bodies, or 45mm Jenvys. Build large airbox/plenum to let plenty of...
I can agree 100% with those comments.
For a road car yes - stick a XE - even a Z18XE in there (nobody seems to want those - but they're better than a poke in the eye with a pointed stick!)
