i bet its got cut rear springs so they are not a higher spring rate so still soft,
cars need to be driven, after all its only a nova, if it were mine it would have that show cage torn out and a propper one fitted, then ragged to within an inch of its life on a track as it should be,
get yourself a free or nearly free mk2 mate and just strip it for all the parts you need. there are a few about but will prob need collecting with something as most are not going to be road legal,

i fitted a 1.6 head to a 1.4 nova once, use the 1.4 cam tho as its higher lift by a small ammount, and you will have to skimm about a mill (40 thou) of the head to increace the compression again
the standard 1.3 head is better than the 1.4 head anyway. so a ported one is miles better,
ive had to cut and shut the fiesta one in about 100 places lol,
safety devices cages come with weld in feet that have nuts pre welded into them, you weld them to the floor and bolt the cage down,...
the engine is located in a better position than an xe so prob wont handle hardly any worse,

look at the writing on the springs mate, ive had the problem on cars before where if you put the spring in wrong way round it would sit lower,
make sure the print on the springs are up the right...
did you have the wheels black before, stealth :twisted:
nooooooo leave them on and fit the mk1 rear bumper,
keep it really simple and standard outside
how about dont even try, that style of wheels look awful on a square arched car, euro style novas are gay,
keep the nice hard square slaped spokes on a nova and you will never go wrong

the induction form a standard xe really does sound awful dont it,
you mean your not allowed to run wide every now and then,
