Managed a sneaky day with Ben today to sort out some pipework, still a few bits to add but the main bit is done, joiners will be replaced with black ones when the time comes to install it properly.

Washers to be welded to the bulkhead for the connections

Made this on the lathe and mill, little grub screw to hold the outer cable. Works well enough

More to come tomorrow.
YOU made something.... Well thats a load of shit :p lol
Another busy day today
Spent the whole day making this, I did most of the bending and drilling, Ben did the welding
Started by working out a layout we were happy with and measuring the confines of a box we would keep them in

We are going to make some link bars to connect the filters to the pump in the correct way, so to make sure everything was installed inline for those to work, firstly I had to cut up some of the AN fittings and turn them in the lathe and add an M10x1 thread for the banjo bolts to work.
I made up this alloy bit of flat bar to hold the pump and and pre-pump filter inline and an then made up an outline frame.

Added some tabs and a flat bar in the middle for support

Moved the flat bar to the post pump filter and made up some braces to hold that in place

Just needs to be welded together properly now we know it will work

Roughly placed it will sit here

Other little bits and bobs

The flow is the wrong direction but I’ll order the right one for this application

Gearbox cooler pump bracket that I made yesterday welded on in place, the placement of this was solely chosen by how we could run the hoses, putting it here worked perfectly with the box and cooler inlets and outputs
Nice little touch and nod to all the work Ben has done

These are unreal. Proper bit of kit!!
Good work Housey. I just said those are what I would upgrade to at some point, didn’t expect you to go buy them! Anyway very modern, very pretty and I’m a bit jel.
Cars looking awesome.
Yeah I know!! I looked and mused and next minute I had a set!!
We're hoping to get the car off for exhaust in the next couple of weeks hopefully by the start of December, then back for a few more bits and bobs, hoses and plumbing by first week of Jan. full dry build by the end of jan, paint start of feb, assembly end of feb, rolling road first week in March.
what's the difference between the old and new throttle body's?
crikey
Not been on here for ages. Builds looking mega. Alan is doing a fine job.
One thing though. That sureseal connector is rated at 7.5amps so not really adequate for a fuel pump. I have every type of connector/splice and crimp tool you may need here, just let me know when you’re up next and come and grab some bits.
