Today I set to making a custom strut brace.
Drilled the holes in the strut plates. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8ea0f3c054.jpg
Welded on the reinforcement pieces.

After a bit of cutting and welding I was left with this. Tacked onto place ready to be welded up properly.

Trial fit after being welded up, and ground down ready for paint.

And painted in the same wrinkle paint as the cam cover. Very happy with the results.

Love the wrinkle paint I wanted to do my motor in it but couldnt get it to work properly .
Did mine trick is to get it really hot as that's what causes the paint to wrinkle up. It did help with me working in a body shop and using the oven lol.
I finished mine with a heat gun.

Mmm looks good that & nice to see some proper welding; are you bending the tube yourself?
Looks smart well done.
Looks great, What does confuse me tho, why is that called Lewis thread? When you're Dan?
