I'm looking to put a wider wheel on my nova and need the arch out a little bit like about 10 or 15mm at the most what's the best way of doing it ? I've seen arch rollers but don't know if they work on nova arch's because of the shape any adverse would help thanks
Arch rollers will work on the front arches, but not on the rears, you'll really struggle to get wide wheels on a Nova, there just just isn't much room between the rear strut and the inner arch, even less if you have rear coilovers.
Only thing you can do really is cut the lip off but not to close to the spot welds. Then seam seal to keep the moisture away.
Warm the paint and knock the lip up flat. Then use a soft block of wood and a bottle jack to push the back edge of the arch outwards.
I can’t say it won’t crack the paint because it might, that’s how I did mine though and comfortably ran a 7j et37 with a 205/50/15 tyre.
Another vote for bottle jack. Expect a skim of filler and paint after. It works a bit easier if you separate the inner and outer skin first to allow them to move separately then reweld them together

Make sure you press out on some wood. Wet it to allow it to contour easier. And if it turns out badly I never said it was a good idea blame Craig.

It actually turned out ok to be perfect it would need filled and painted but it will do my job till the end of the year until I strip the car and build it thanks Craig and Iain really helped

Any pics? I’ve just done it on a mates car to fit 7J and semi slicks with tube and jack. Turned out awful but it’s not my car so no biggie [emoji23]
