Still taking engine out through the top Ben? ;)
It was an extremely good read, theres so many bits that you dont quite realise the extent that you've gone too.
Aeesome work
ALWAYS! Cant see why anyone wouldn't.. lol
Sadly might have to come out again in the next few weeks.
Sadly what i'll be doing and where means it needs to out to do the work. I'd rather not if i'm honest.
I'll be honest, there's a few things i see on other people car and think "that's not right.. why's that there?" Cause i've forgotten i've done something too it.
But i'm glad as for me its all the little stuff you notice that make cars for me. I love seeing a build where you think "oh i love that they've...."
Thank you too.
Haven't been around the Nova for a couple of years due to a very close bereavement. So need to start my motivation up again. What do I do? I read this build thread and catch up from what I last saw! It's done the trick nicely, thank you. I will definitely have to recommission it and start enjoying it again. Maybe even get it to Billing this year.
Oh, and I like that you always reply to all comments. Nice touch.
Sorry to hear that, but glad you're feeling the Nova love again. Glad i could help with that too.
Deffo get it up and running and to Billing. Rolling in the summer sun with the roof back will be great!
Hhhmm been awhile since i updated this.
After all my ill running i changed some some BLACK plugs and fitted a new lambda,

This seems to have helped. Haven't had the bad running again.
Been very lazy up to crimbo, well, when i should of been playing cars, i've been in the gym or sat. Just tv lol. But though i should get on with something, as i've been putting off bay repairs.
So today i cracked on....
Starting to strip,

Turbo off, pipe work off, rad out... Water all over the place.

Vac pipes off, looming being unplugged.

Looms ready to be removed, engines ready to come out bar the pass shaft.
While taking the drivers shaft out i notice my tyres have rubbed thru my make shift oil line shields. Don't know what i can do to protect them....

Where i left it.... Ready to lift the lump out.

I take it you'll be lowering the engine underneath the car this time Benn?.... LOL
so what repairs are needed in the bay? Any changes happening or just repairs?
Love your forever ongoing commitment to this car mate. X
Still the best car on here, real men can either drop it out or lift it out there are benefits to both :)
Ah, you a funny man.
I need to weld up the old servo holes in the bulkhead, there's also 2 brake line holes in the bulkhead which can now be seen with the servo gone. There's a hole in the chassis leg too, which there is no need for.. ;)
I have a small crack around the engine out too, which i might of made from when i smoothed the void behind it. So wanna sort that out before it becomes a prob.
Plus a refresh in paint's never a bad thing... ;)
i don't think it's commitment, more madness that i can't get it to where i'm happy with it.
Thank you Sir, means alot.
And yes there are pros and cons for both ways.
