Having arch clearance issues, esp on the drivers side, anybody got any suggestions? The Astra wheels are ET46 5.5J 15" with 195/45 tyres and I have about a cm clearance. I was hoping to get 6J MO's but I'm pushing it a bit for room?!

Had to prise the arch out a bit to make the room above!

Got my seam sealering done in the arch though:

Have you trimmed the arch lip at all??
Good work on the repairs, look spot on.

They're rolled not cut, the tightest bit at the back is flat on itself so can't see much more room gained from cutting it off.
Going to try something like this I think. Found this method on the net when looking for arch rolling tools and then found more pics in Olly's WIP:

Something not right in my books for it being that tight.

Was to much of the inner arch lip cut away, hence bringing the outer arch inwards??
Have a go at the arch modding method by all means.

It was cut away about a cm up the arch and tacked on the vertical part and not the lip like std. I don't see how that would pull it in any further though as it lines up fine with the window, sill, bit behind the rear bumper etc.
Benn I swear they weren't spacious before I started, can't find any pics though!

I know some drunk Spanish whop made the novas but that's taking the piss.
As said mines got more room.

On standard arches on my old one, 15s rubbed with 195 tyres. There is very little clearance at all. About a finger gap id say there is on mine, and ive cut my arches back slightly.

All this hard work to get wheels to clear on a mediocre drop. Just buy a coupe.
