It really DOES need connecting, its not only annoying stalling whenever you press the clutch down, but its also quite dangerous say if your on a motorway, brake sharply and put the clutch down if someones diving in your lane off a sliproad for example, the engine will die...
Not very cool when cars are doing 80/90 behind you...
ok guys thanks, also on the x16xel i know it has the immobiliser, the ecu has the key taped to it at the moment, is this going to be a ok place for it to sit, so it switches off the immobiliser?
I still have this black.brown on the x16 plug that spare
Yeah, taped to the immobiliser pickup ring is fine
Ah now i didnt see that ring you meantion, it just has the key, we were just given bits abobs and asked to fit to the car.
Would any pickup ring work ok?
Nope, has to be the exact one that came on the car.
Its a black plastic box, with a ring around it(where the ignition barrel should fit)
or we have to get a new key, ring and ecu i guess then
the ring can be programmed to the ecu and key ;)
Yeah but no one will do it. Vauxhall/Opel can but they wont cuz they're *******s!!
