That site claims Nova offset is 40-45. I was under the impression nearer 49 was preferable?

I would assume thats for aftermarket wheels though. Not many come in et49, so it kinda limits your choice, 45 should be ok though.

195/45/15 on et38 caught the rear outer arches on my Nova with standard suspension. Can't remember off the top of my head if the wheels were 6" or 6.5" wide though.

you keep proving me wrong tonight mate!lol I am going off memory but will post up all the correct fitments according to the wtdr (bible) when im in work monday. your's is a saloon isnt it?

Yep, my current Nova is, but this was years ago on my old hatchback - I remember it being the reason why my parents let me buy some "uprated suspension" for it lol

I think Ash had et38 wheels on his old hatch as well, I'm not sure if he ever ran those on standard suspension too.

It's true, I did/do run 15"x7" et37 on 195/45/15's only ever with a 60mm drop tho.... and some arch pulling ;) I dont think they do much for handling tho :(
