Tools Needed - Grinder & file

So here's one mount...

With one of the spacers lined up you can see which bit needs notching out...

Marked out then in with grinder...

Do the same on the other side and a little bit of finishing and it all fits together nicely...

Its also a good idea to weld in an extra plate across the top of the mount (making sure you check for clearance) as the sri/gte/gsi mounts had this...

The spacer kit itself can be obtained from wwww.chrisastleymotorsport.co.uk (http://wwww.chrisastleymotorsport.co.uk)

Probably worth pointing out that the bolts should have washers with tabs that bend to stop the bolt working loose.
I missed these out on my 2nd conversion and the bolts came loose and sheered off!

You can just make them out in this pic:

Handy guide. Shall be reffering to this when my Nova mount arrives. I stupidly forgot that the XE mount/linkage cant be used...this was after giving it a repaint/clean up!!

So the Nova mount has to be used, along with the linkage or can the origianl XE linkage be used??

Would I need to do this with a 1.5 Td and a F18??

Or will the 1 piece 2 hole spacer plate be fine?

The old chris astley kit was 3 individual spacers at 5mm each. 2 went inbetween the mount & gearbox, the other on the outside to clamp it all up. So its a 10mm spacer between mount and box basically.
