Hi

I want to lower my std suspension 1.3 SR (e reg) and am not sure what to do.

I have some crappy et49 13" alloys with 175/70 tires on. How far could i lower with this, and could i go to about -45 - 60 on standard shocks or would it be better to get whole kit for about 200 quid ?

Also, will this setup be ok with the GTE ? 3 spoke 3 spokes which are 14" AND 165/50 OR 55'S

CHEERS

If you go lower than about 30mm on standard suspension the shocks will tak a kicking, then again the rear shocks will go at about 110k, I've had three novas all do this, but with the right kit 60mm is not a problem, arch clearence does vary from car to car, due to vauxhall's varible rear axle mounting or some thing

Shud be ok @ -60 on 5.5x14 wheels m8, -35/40mm springs on STD shox IMO.. I think shox @ 110k would need changing anyway really :)

i would definitly not lower it more than 30 mm with standard shox,it would handle shit, get some uprated shox if u wanna lower it about -60mm and if u wanna go lower i would go for shortened shox, this way u can to more than -100.i have shortened jamex and its lowered -110rear,-80 front,im running 15x6.5/with 195/45,ive rolled the arches and it dont scrub at all!

a little bumpy at tmes, but the handlings unbeatable, have a problem somtimes parking up a kerb, but speed bumps are fine,no problem at all, although u do have to slow down quite alot for em,looks absolutly class though!!

I think ill go for about a 35-40 mm drop on std shocks, or maybe a 60mm kit

would look fricking nuts though eh ?
